Iranian Students of California was founded by undergraduate and graduate student leaders from major universities in California to be a central place for unifying and supporting students of Iranian heritage. ISC operates as a chapter of Iranian-American Student Council (IASC), an independent nonprofit organization established to support ISC and expand its mission to other regions of the United States.
ISC is composed of student leaders who plan and implement programs that advance the academic and career aspirations of students of Iranian heritage in California.
Dr. Narges Baniasadi has led multiple initiatives and businesses in the intersection of Technology and Life Sciences for more than a decade. She founded Bina, a pioneering Bioinformatics company, out of a decade of research at Stanford and UC Berkeley. Narges is currently the Founder and Executive Director of Emergence program and serves as an Adjunct Faculty at Stanford University.
